Direct Care Positions

Direct care employees provide daily hands-on services for patients in residential programs, day treatment programs, and crisis stabilization units.  Some positions also work with patients in supported employment settings.  Direct care job responsibilities can also include helping patients access the community for daily living or recreational purposes.  Transportation using company vehicles may also be necessary.  Job responsibilities of direct care positions can include:

  • Participating in the treatment planning process for patients
  • Providing direct, hands-on training, modeling, and assistance to patients in a variety of settings
  • Monitoring patient symptoms and functioning
  • Documenting services provided to patients
  • Preparing for and facilitating group sessions with patients
  • Participating in trainings such as CPR, First Aid, and Clinical Supervision

Direct Care employees must have a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
