Residential Programs
Northwood offers residential treatment for individuals with intellectual disabilities or those in need of mental health treatment. Residential programs provide supervision and monitoring as needed during day and night time hours. Treatment activities, community outings and other forms of recreation occur daily. Necessities are also provided, including food, personal hygiene supplies, and other essentials. Crisis Stabilization Units
Northwood’s Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs) are voluntary treatment programs for adults experiencing acute symptoms of psychiatric conditions or substance use disorders. The goal of treatment is to stabilize the patient’s condition with short term intensive services to avoid the need for an inpatient hospital setting. Services include intensive group and individual therapy, as well as daily psychiatric evaluation and monitoring. Daily essentials, including food and personal hygiene supplies, are provided.
